STEVE PHILIPS, THE DIRECTOR OF REGENT'S COLLEGE LONDON, PRESENTED THE 2012 SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM IN ASUE
A meeting with Steve Philips, the Director of Regent's College London, took place today at ASUE big Conferance Hall and Hrayr Gyonjyan, the President of the social organization council of the Armenian representative Prosper Research Educational Centre.
Steve Philips reffered to the works of the 2012 summer school, mentioned that high-quality English language courses, full of a number of cultural and entertainment events, were offered. The speaker presents that Regent's College is the only educational institute in London which is located in one of the parks, belonging to the Queen of England, Regent's Park. Steve Philips said that this area with its educational, cultural and entertainment places provided perfect conditions for students' life. The participants, with the students from 25 other countries, will study in Regent's College and will live in Reyd Hall. The students will have an opportunity to make use of the library, Wi Fi Internet, a modern fitness center, mini football, tennis courts and other opportunities. For participation you need to have some English knowledge, which will be checked by test. Steve Philips said 15 hours would be given to English trainings, at the end of the program the students would get certificates. The trainings will be conducted in the first half of the day, which will give an opportunity to visit the sights of the city at the afternoon and evening.
The director of Regent's College, presenting London as cultural and economical developed city and showing the sights of the city: Music Halls, Cinemas, gyms, museums, markets, by slides, said that visits to London sights would be organized for the participants of summer school. Steve Philips urged ASUE students to spend especialy this summer in London as summer olimpic games will take place in London from 27th of July to 12nd of August. The participants of summer school will have an opportunity to feel the enthusiasm caused by the great celebration, will develope English and will spend unforgetable time. The speaker announced that ASUE students could take part in Bachelor and Master programs of Regent's College.
Hrayr Gyonjyan, the President of the social organization council of the Armenian representative Prosper Research Educational Centre, informed that their organization would help to solve the problems concerning with visa.
