An advanced session of the ASUE Department of Management took place today at the ASUE Ceremony Hall, which was attended not only by the academic pedagogues of the Department but also other lecturers from other departments teaching in this department. The results of the first semester and the problems of the second semester in the 2011-2012 academic year were in the agenda. Edgar Ghazaryan, the Dean of the Department, presented a report.
“The first semester was over. It was usual for the majority, but for me it was specific, a difficult probation, as I have done my viewing concerning the academic semester as a Dean for the first time and I must present them to your attention.”, said Edgar Ghazaryan, sratring his speech. The Dean informs that the Department is the biggest in the University: 1975 students study here, 993 of them are in Full-time Bachelor program.
Reffering to the learning progress, the Dean of the Department presented it to the council session’s attention. So, the progress in Full-time Bachelor program is 73,4, Full-time Master program is 78,5, Part-time Master program is 63,6.
Then Edgar Ghazaryan spoke about defects and run-outs of the academic process and expressed his distresses concerning them. The great number of absences, group class failures, the insufficient level of tuition collection, the ineffective organization of the 4th year student’s probation worry the Dean most of all. He reported the members of the Faculty, the Faculty employees to participate actively for removing the mentioned defects.
Speaking about the further tasks and problems, the Dean said that the curriculums must be organized correctly and the final state exams would be organized according to the new order.
