Employees of “AMBERD” – Participants of the 1st Working Discussion on NSS 2018 Project

On July 10, the  first  working discussion of National Statistical Service 2018 project was  held in RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs headed  by Khosrov Harutyunyan, which was  attended  by employees of ASUE “AMBERD” Research Center, experts of the  mentioned Committee, representatives  of the RA NA Economic Department, State Revenue Committee, Ministry of Economic Development and Investments.

As the official website of the National Assembly informs, by this working discussion, the  Committee  has  tried to  create a platform, where the work of parliamentarians will be accompanied by the idea of academic economics. Such working meetings will be continued, focusing attention on solving the above mentioned  issues.

Key concepts of the agenda related  to SME sector, the commodity turnover, volumes of imported and exported goods of Eurasian Economic Union member states, particularly Armenia.

In that context, reference was done to the issues of ensuring sustainable economic development and the comprehensive collection and publication of data by the NSS in different sectors of the economy.
