ASUE Student - Participant of the Forum in Kazan
Volga Region Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) hosts the first forum of the best sports volunteers from different corners of the World on July 2-8, which is carried out under the auspices of the International University Sports Federation.
Although the idea of the forum was born in 2012 by Kazan volunteer movement activist Timur Tufetulov, the forum of this format has become reality for the first time this year. The forum was attended by 100 volunteers from 91 countries around the World, who have joint around one idea on these days – to identify the key issues of the worldwide volunteering and youth sports and the main development directions.
At the forum, the Republic of Armenia is represented by Grigor Voskerchyan, ASUE student, volunteer of Armenian Student Sport Federation.
The information is submitted by ASUE Student Council and added, as Grigor states, everything is organized at a high level, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. “Although the forum is being held for the first time, the organizers have done the best to ensure excellent results. Thanks for a wonderful reception and a rich, full and exciting days to give us - volunteers. I will do my best to keep the honor of Armenia and the Armenian flag proudly on this platform”; stated Grigor.
The solemn opening ceremony of the forum was held on July 3, which was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Oleg Matitsin, President of FISU, Ilshur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan and others.
The results of the competition will be summed up on the last day of the forum, the top 5 participants will be able to take part in the Summer University Universiade in Taiwan.
The forum’s day is full of not only information seminars, discussions and debates, but also entertainment programs and events.
