Financial System Mediator: a Protector of Consumer Rights: Seminar-Discussion

Today, an informational meeting was held at our University in the frames of the cooperation between ASUE  Educational Division and Financial System Mediator. 

Activities of financial system mediator, opportunities, risks of access to financial institutions were discussed during the meeting.  Mary Babajanyan, Complaints Handling Specialist, was the speaker.

The Office of Financial System Mediator is a team of knowledgeable and professional specialists. It is called to resolve disputes between the individuals and financial institutions. The dispute resolution is free of charge and without delay.

The Office is funded by financial institutions (banks, credit organizations, insurance companies, pawnshops, etc.) licensed by the Central Bank through regular mandatory fees, as prescribed by law. 

 The expert pointed out that cases which may be applied to the ombudsman, the principles to begin consideration of the case,  how the consumers’ rights are violated and the  mechanisms to restore them.
