Opening of an auditorium after a four-day-war heroes and meeting with Seyran Ohanyan in ASUE
Today, the measures devoted to the 25th anniversary of Independence launched in Armenian State University of Economics opening an auditorium after a four-day-war heroes and meeting with Seyran Ohanyan, acting Minister of Defence.
ASUE Rector Koryun Atoyan, Sergey Kharatyan, SC President, members of Faculty staff, students, as well as ASUE two students of compulsory military service Vlad Vardanyan and Koryun Muradyan, met Seyran Ohanyan in ASUE yard.
An auditorium after an April four-day-war heroeswas opened in ASUE joint by ASUE SC and Youth Foundation of Armenia, the opening solemn ceremony was held by Koryun Atoyan and Seyran Ohanyan.
The acting Minister took a tour round the auditorium led by Rector and SC President, got acquainted with the presented posters, pictures, then Koryun Atoyan awarded certificates.
Then a meeting with ASUE students and members of Faculty staff was held. Koryun Atoyan stressed that the auditorium would then bear the names of the April four-day-war heroes.The Rector also mentioned that it’s important to have a strong army towards Independence and to support the establishment and strengthening of the army. The Head of the University thanked the University staff and Student Council for interaction with the Army and developing a culture of high-leveled cooperation, then expressed gratitude to Seyran Ohanyan for not only supporting University initiatives but also inspiring the younger generation with high human qualities, directing towards progress.
SC President Sergey Kharatyan spoke about the University’s military and patriotic activities after which a film was screened.
Acting Minister Seyran Ohanyan on behalf of the Ministry staff thanked for organizing such measure, highlighted that such initiatives were very important for strengthening army-society relations, presenting vivid and heroic examples to younger generation.
Seyran Ohanyan spoke about the important role of younger generation to be next to the army, education and knowledge for achieving new success, lessons of the April four-day-war, answered the students’ questions, expressed gratitude to Student Council for keeping high the military and patriotic spirit in the University.
He awarded certificates to SC President Sergey Kharatyan, PhD Grisha Amirkhanyan and Zepyur Alexanyan, student in the Department of Accounting and Auditing, medal of “Drastamat Kanayan” of the ARM Armed Forces to Mher Aghalovyan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Higher Mathematicsand Grigor Nazaryan, Head of the Chair of International Economic Relations, nominal wristwatches to students Shogher Arazyan and Hovhannes Hovhannisyan. A-ten-day holiday was declared to our two student-soldiers.
After the awarding ceremony Koryun Atoyan expressed gratitude to Seyran Ohanyan once more for supporting the University initiatives and awarded him a souvenir, University thumbnail.
