"Amberd" Research Center presents an overview of the OECD report "The future of productivity"
In 1994, Paul Krugman noted: "Productivity is not everything, but in the long run it is almost everything". Productivity does not mean "work harder" but more of a "work smarter." The OECD report "The Future of Productivity" examines the gap between the world's major players and other companies and determines a number of structural obstacles to the development of start-ups.
Three main strategies aim at stimulating productivity:
1) support innovation at the level of global players and promote the dissemination of new technologies;
2) create a favorable market environment for the prosperity of firms;
3) improve the allocation of resources between the market players.
