RIP Sergey Melkumyan

We inform with great sorrow and regret that the great geographer, Doctor of  Sciences, Professor Sergey Melkumyan has died. The great Armenian and patriot, incomparable intellectual and scientist-pedagogue died at the age of 89, leaving a good and noble name of a beloved lecturer, a rich scientific and literary heritage and true life lessons passed down through the generations.

The Rectorate Board  of Armenian State University of Economics expresses deep condolences to Sergey Melkumyan's children, his son - RA NA Deputy, Head of ASUE Chair of Microeconomics and Organization of Entrepreneurial Activities, Doctor of Scinces, Professor Mikael Melkumyan and daughter acting Head of ASUE Chair of Labor Economics, Doctor of Sciences, Professor Anahit Melkumyan, relatives.

The memory of Sergey Melkumyan will remain bright in our hearts, it will illuminate the hearts of the people who keep the torch of science and education bright and patriotic, because his journey is a unique school of life for many, exemplary and instructive.
