The Year-end Sitting of ASUE Scientific Board

After the extended sitting of ASUE Scientific Board, during which ASUE Rector Diana Galoyan presented the report on key indicators of the results of 2021 academic and financial-economic activities of the Armenian State University of Economics and draft budgetary plan 2022, the year-end sitting of Scientific Board continued attended by the main members of the Scientific Board.

Before discussing the issues on the agenda, ASUE Rector noted that the past year was a jubilee for some of the senior colleagues. The Head of the University warmly congratulated and awarded congratulatory messages to Aram Sargsyan, Professor at the Chair of Social Sciences, Honorary Head of the Chair, Doctor of Sciences, Zoya Tadevosyan, Professor at the Chair of International Economic Relations, Doctor of Sciences, Zukhra Yervandyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Languages, PhD in Philology, Arzik Suvaryan, Professor at the Chair of Management, Doctor of Sciences and Paruyr Kalantaryan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Business Administration, PhD in Economics.

Tatul Mkrtchyan, Vice Rector for Science, stated that the European Commission awarded ASUE the "HR Excellence in Research Award". The Vice Rector noted that ASUE was the only University in the Region that had registered this success. Then Tatul Mkrtchyan reported on ASUE 2021-2026 open science strategy, the "Open Access" policy, the issues on approving the regulation on the organization and regulation of ASUE repository activities within the frames of MINERVA project, detailing that the strategy aimed to make University science accessible and international. The presented issues were approved. The Vice Rector also reported on other issues.

Armen Grigoryan, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, reported on academic issues, in particular presenting the issues on approving the curricula of Bachelor's and Master's educational programs, as well as new educational programs. The Vice Rector detailed that in order to improve the educational programs, first expert teams were formed, which made in-depth improvements, organized discussions on all the components of the programs with the stakeholders, as a result of which they presented programs of excellence.

Rector Diana Galoyan stressed that the opinions of foreign experts were considered in the process. "This process will be continuous, the educational programs must be thoroughly reviewed"; the Rector stated. The presented issues were approved.

At the end of the sitting ASUE Rector congratulated those present on the forthcoming holidays, wishing scientific, work and family achievements. "The difficult period reaffirmed that health and peace are the most important values of our life, so I wish you and your families health, an opportunity to create under a peaceful sky, and let all your successes serve the development and progress of ASUE"; Diana Galoyan said.
