On 31 October, ASUE hosted the presentation of the textbook on Economics of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise edited by Dr. Mikayel Melkumyan, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Head of the Department of Microeconomics. The presentation was attended by ASUE Rector Armen Grigoryan, guests, ASUE academic and administrative staff and students. In his opening remarks, Mikayel Melkumyan discussed the process of preparing and publishing the textbook, emphasizing that the new edition is a result of the department’s collective efforts and addresses contemporary issues in the field of economics of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise and management.

Following Melkumyan’s remarks, the book's authors—Frida Baharyan, Arthur Arakelyan, Shake Isayan, and Taguhi Barseghyan—spoke about the effective departmental collaboration, the book’s value, its broad scope, and the importance of providing clarity on sectoral issues.

The ASUE Scientific Council endorsed the textbook for publication, targeting students majoring in economics, postgraduates, and a wider professional audience. The reviewers are Professor Vardan Bostanjyan, Doctor of Economics, and Associate Professor Nelli Shahnazaryan, PhD in Economics. Congratulating the authors on this new publication, Vardan Bostanjyan noted the importance and urgency of such a textbook, especially today when the organization and management of enterprises take on heightened significance. Nelli Shahnazaryan considered the textbook useful not only for students but also for postgraduates, entrepreneurs, and business professionals, covering aspects such as enterprise creation, management, market competitiveness, and more.

Gagik Aslanyan, Head of the Management Department, congratulated his colleagues on the new publication, calling their work exemplary. On behalf of the students, Anna Badalyan expressed gratitude, noting that the new knowledge presented in the textbook would enhance students’ economic skills.

In his closing remarks, ASUE Rector Armen Grigoryan congratulated the authors and praised the department’s work, stating that the university should create conditions for textbook publishing to become a routine, natural process. “New economic theories, new values must emerge at the premier university of economics; we need to generate the economic thought of the country, which is precisely the aim of our current efforts,” the rector said.
