Vardan Atoyan took part in the annual meeting of the Gorchakov club

From July 21 to 23, 2023, the meeting of the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Fund Club of the Russian MFA (Gorchakov Club) was held in Moscow, Russia and Head of the ASUE Chair of Social Studies, Ph.D. Vardan Atoyan took part in it.

During the event, meetings with the Deputy Minister of MFA of Russia Sergey Ryabkov, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Director of the Department of Information and Media Maria Zakharova, as well as a number of recognized experts, including Dmitry Trenin and Sergey Markedonov were held.

Lectures, reports and thematic discussions were held in a closed format.

The current situation in the South Caucasus was also discussed, including the Artsakh issue, within the frames of which the Armenian side raised the humanitarian crisis and security issues being constant in Artsakh as well, particularly, the issues of responsibility of the main actors and the international community in resolving the crisis as soon as possible.
