Summer: Full of Important Events at ASUE
Dear colleagues, students,
summer life is active at Armenian State University of Economics and a number of important events are planned to be held soon: some of them are touched upon in this publication.
The 1st large event is to be held tomorrow – June 14. “China-Eurasia” Council for Political and Strategic Research, Foundation and Armenian State University of Economics acted with joint initiative conducting special training entitled “Rethinking China Foreign Policy and Economy on the 70th Anniversary of Establishment of the People's Republic of China” aimed at comprehensive discussion of modern China's foreign policy and economy, exchange of ideas on the improvement of the Armenian-Chinese relations with the help of foreign and Armenian specialists cooperating with “China-Eurasia” Political and Strategic Research Board” in order to exchange knowledge and skills with Armenian young professionals.
Another large event - on June 27. The Armenian Economic Association 2019 annual meeting entitled “Why Economics Education Matters?” will be held at 14:00, at ASUE Big Hall, with full agenda. ASUE acting Rector Ruben Hayrapetyan and Gurgen Aslanyan from AEA will make opening remarks after which reports will be presented. Keynote speaker: Friedrich Heinemann (ZEW Mannheim). Scientists from different universities all over the world will make presentations and then the conference will be continued in panel discussion format. Topics such as trade integration and economic growth, the role of information technology in modern trade, labor market discrimination and the macroeconomy, etc. will be discussed during panel discussions. ASUE Faculty members and students are invited to participate by registering at AEA official website.
“Challenges for Emerging Economy II” the 2nd international summer school of economics is a joint project of Armenian State University of Economics, "Higher School of Economics" National Research University, Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Economics and Law, University of Luxembourg. The school will be organized on July 15-19. More information is available at the official website of "Higher School of Economics" via the active link.
