Achieving the Goals of Sustainable Development in the Center of Attention

On October 25, ASUE Rector Diana Galoyan hosted Aleksandr Stommels, director of the Belgian "Circle of Sustainable Europe" organization and Ramon Rahangmetan, the co-founder of the same organization. The meeting was also attended by Aleksandrs Posts, the director of the Latvian Youth Development Center.

As a result of the meeting a memorandum of understanding was signed between ASUE and "Circle of Sustainable Europe" organization.

"Circle of Sustainable Europe" implements numerous projects in different countries of the world, aimed at environmental stability and the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The parties agreed to implement student exchange programs within the frames of the memorandum, to organize events, courses, lectures and seminars on raising the level of awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, environment, climate change, water security, gender issues.

An agreement has been reached with "Circle of Sustainable Europe" on the implementation of joint capacity development programs.
