Memorandum of Cooperation Signed between ASUE and Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS)

As a result of about one-year-lasting negotiation, a memorandum of cooperation between Armenian State University of Economics and the Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has been recently signed.

International Relations Division of ASUE Foreign Relations Department submitted the information and noted that the memorandum was signed initiated by Dr. Vardan Atoyan -Deputy Director-Senior Expert of AMBERD Research Center and as a result of negotiations conducted since 2018. Academic exchanges, joint researches and projects, as well as scientific events are planned to be implemented within the frames of the memorandum.

Dr. Vardan Atoyan expresses gratitude to Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Armenia and Song Hong, Professor, Deputy Director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for multilateral assistance in establishing cooperation.

Note, the Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is considered to be one of the best and most influential institutions both in China and the World engaged in policy-oriented and theoretical research, mainly covering global macroeconomy, international finance, international trade, international investment, developing economies, industrial economics, international political theory, international strategy, international political economy, global governance and world energy.

IWEP currently has a staff of about 130 at eleven research divisions, five editorial offices, six research centers and IWEP’s administrative offices. The Institute provides Master’s, Doctorate Degrees and post-doctoral research programs.
