ASUE Collaborators and Students Attended International Festival

On June 2-9, Moscow and Stavropol hosted the 3rd BRICS and SCO Student Spring International Festival, under the auspices of UNESCO. Astghik Hovhannisyan, researcher of ASUE AMBERD research center, PhD student of the Chair of Statistics, Heghine Hakhnazaryan, the 3rd year student of Management specialty, and Arastasia Margaryan, the 4th year student of Marketing specialty, were among Armenian delegation of 65 people attended the festival, organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, All-Russian public organization “Russian Union of Youth” and the Government of Stavropol within the framework of the "New Generation" program launched by Rossotrudnichestvo.

The event was dedicated to the opening of the year of the Russian Federation Presidency to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in 2019-2020. 2500 delegates from 23 countries participated in it. The Armenian delegation consisted of two parts: the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Yerevan, with the assistance of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, delivered 19 representatives of RA HEIs and youth NGOs within the framework of the "New Generation" program. For the participants of the "New Generation" program the festival started in the State Duma and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with meetings the representatives of Federal Agency of Rossotrudnichestvo.

Then the meetings were continued in the most grassy city of Russia - Stavropol. Meeting with the Stavropol Government, a solemn opening ceremony, daily workshops and discussions in six departments (educational forum, young leaders, forums for young journalists, and additional and cultural platforms), presentation of youth organizations' activities, youth business forum were included in the program.

Students from Armenian universities have joined the Armenian delegation in Stavropol. In addition to the mentioned forums, the festival was accompanied by cultural and excursion events and competitions in which the Armenian delegation members actively participated and won various prizes.

The concerts of famous World and Russian singers were also organized, the closing of the festival was accompanied by a solemn ceremony, the participants were awarded certificates.

After homecoming, participants of the "New Generation" program took part in the state reception dedicated to the Day of Russia by the invitation of the RF Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Armenia.
