ASUE sophomore students of the Faculty of Computer Science and Statistics majoring in “Actuarial and Financial Mathematics” Arevik Sanamyan and Vigen Nersesyan have just returned from Samara. They took part in the 30th Russian Spring Festival on May 18-24.

The aim of the festival held under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Ministry of Culture of Russia is to promote spiritual and cultural advancement among the youth, maintenance and development of artistic values as well as growth of social intellect.

More than 3500 students from 85 HEIs of Russia and about 200000 spectators from CIS countries took part in the festival. On the initiative of the RA Ministry of ESCS, 4 students were present at the festival from Armenia: two students were from ASUE.

During the festival, our students took part in lectures, cultural, education, sports and intellectual events, got familiar with the culture of Russia, as well as they presented their country’s culture, dance and songs.

Our students’ impressions from this visit are rather vivid and they are so motivated by it that they decided to organize a similar festival in Armenia next year.
