An event dedicated to the Francophonie Day in Armenia was held today at the initiative of Isabella Abgaryan, a lecturer of French at ASTU's Department of Languages. Céline Guerin, attaché for educational and university affairs of the French Embassy in Armenia, was invited to the event, who presented the features of the French educational system, opportunities to study in France, and scholarship programs to future economists studying French.

Celine Guerin praised the setting of teaching foreign languages, particularly French, at the University of Economics, which ensures a high level of language proficiency, then called on students to continuously improve their language skills, stressing that the path to success is impossible without knowledge of foreign languages.

The representative of the embassy answered the students' questions, expressing readiness to cooperate with them individually.

At the end, the French-speaking students of ASTU presented to Celine Guerin the cognitive-humorous video series they prepared, about the words introduced from French into the everyday-conversational vocabulary of Armenian. It turns out that many of us use French words in our oral speech, sometimes without guessing their meaning in our mother tongue. "And do you know that..." prepared by Isabella Abgaryan and students You can watch the video with the title.
