Open Lecture at ASUE on World Civil Defense Day

World Civil Defense Day  is celebrated on March 1, and today, Siranush Harutyunyan, responsible for civil defense functions at ASUE, PhD in Chemistry, Associate Professor of the Chair  of  Physical Training, Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, held an open lecture on “Nuclear and Biological Weapons” within the frames of “Emergency Situations and Civil Defense” course  for the 1st year students of the Departments of Marketing and Business Organization, Management, Finance. The measure is attended by Tatul Mkrtchyan, Dean of the Department of Marketing and Business Organization, Ara Mkrtchyan, Deputy Dean, lecturers of the above mentioned Chair.

Siranush Harutyunyan spoke about the importance and goals of the day celebrated by international community, urging them to "to keep awake the ability of quick respond and right orientation" to emergency situations.

First, lecturer Neda Petrosyan, student-reporters Mariam Grigoryan, Ani Melkonyan, Knar grigoryab, Araksia Papoyan and Irina Melkonyan submitted detailed information on the use of biological weapons, methods of its application, consequences, negative effects on human health, and appropriate protection.

Then Venera voskanyan, Siranush Harutyunyan and students Anahit Mshetsyan, Elen Arshakyan, Satine Davtyan went on presenting the topic and spoke on the nuclear weapon features.
