Meeting with a specialist: ASUE hosted Vahagn Hambardzumyan, Chairman of SME Accountants Association of Armenia Vahagn Hambardzumyan

A meeting with Vahagn Hambardzumyan, Chairman of SME Accountants Association of Armenia, was held at ASUE session hall. ASUE Rector, Professor Koryun Atoyan, Acting Dean of the Department of Accounting and Auditing Mary Badalyan, Deputy Dean Sona Ghazaryan, Head of Financial Accounting Chair Alvard Sargsyan, Head of Managerial Accounting and Audit Chair Liana Grigoryan, lecturers, students of accounting and auditing department were present at the meeting. Mary Badalyan presented the guest and the upcoming lecture, the rector Koryun Atoyan welcomed the necessary and useful meeting highlighting its continuity.
Vahagn Hambardzumyan at the beginning of his speech mentioned that before presenting the activities of the association, he wanted to speak about the main functions of the accountant, and began a dialogue with the audience to clarify it. Through the talk with students, the speaker outlined the qualifications of a qualified accountant and high quality services which led to the need for timely and caring activity. Then he presented the support mechanism that the Association provides for the development of the small and medium business accounting and taxation system in Armenia, which includes professional assistance, resource management, promotion in the market, and other areas. The Chairman of the Association also clarified to students the features and requirements of the accountancy management, knowledge updating, document flow methodology. He presented the vacancies in the accounting sphere not only in Yerevan, but also in the regions of Armenia. The peculiarities of self-affirmation in the labor market and creating a successful accountant career were also presented. The member of association provided with detailed information on vacancies.
The students had the opportunity to direct all the questions they were interested in to the skilled and multidisciplinary specialist.
