"World of Knowledge": a New Initiative to Encourage English Speaking Students

The Chair of Languages has initiated another event that unites and encourages English-speaking students, which is titled "The World of Knowledge". The start of which was  given today by "Leadership in the Past, Present, Future" discussion , which was  attended  by the 2nd year  students  of Management specialty (Mary Stepanyan, Siranush Mkhitaryan, Meline Davtyan, Lusine Galstyan, Mary Avagyan, Gohar Grigoryan, Elen Ghazaryan, Sofya Karapetyan, Lyuba Sargsyan, Maria Nigoyan) and the 1st and 2nd year students of  Finance  specialty (Gohar Grigoryan, Marianna Gevorgyan). 

Gagik Vardanyan, Vice Rector  of Science  and International Relations, Khoren Mkhitaryan, Head of Science  and PhD  Division, Mary Badalyan, acting Dean of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, representatives  of academic staff were  invited.

Lecturers  of the  Chair Anahit Shahinyan  and Kristina Torgomyan held the  interactive lesson.

What is leadership?, who is the innovative leader?, what is charisma?: English-speaking students answered a number of similar questions, and then commented on interesting photos related to the topic.

They have chosen their leader-hero, analyzed the characters of Garegin Nzhdeh, Indira Gandhi, Adolf Hitler, Princess Diana, Abraham Lincoln ... They reported  on "What Skills are Necessary for Succeeding?" and "Are Leaders Born or Made?", after which discussion was held.

Anahit Shahinyan said that the lesson is aimed at developing students' oral communication skills and perception of the world, as well as to enable them to demonstrate their creative minds.
