"Smart" has united about 100 Armenian University students: Rector of ASUE Koryun Atoyan conducted a lecture

At the initiative of ASUE Student Council, together with the Youth Foundation of Armenia an interuniversity student workshop «SMART» took place on October 24-25 at ASUE Center for International Programs. Students listened to lectures and participated in the discussions, group works, and submitted proposals on relevant topics. Game-competitions were also organized and the winners were awarded with prizes.

An introductory speech was held by the chairman of the Student Council Sergey Kharatyan, who noted that the application for participation in the forum had been sent by 650 students, of which 100 had been selected.

On the first day of the forum ASUE Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor Koryun Atoyan presented a lecture on "Education as a mean of economic development of Armenia." Rector presented the educational reforms implemented at ASUE in recent years, the problems encountered by the university and the possible solutions. At the end of the lecture, students asked questions to the head of the university.

"In addition to training a high-quality economist, our goal is to educate a good man and a citizen, so we try to instill in our students the human and ideological quality", said Rector in his speech.

During the two-day forum lectures were given by leading experts, executives of successful companies and professors.

In an interview with ASUE Media and Public Relations Division a member ASUE student council Ani Karapetyan stressed that students from different universities had participated in the forum with great interest.

At the end of the forum the students received certificates of participation.
