ASUE futsal team in European University Championships

ASUE futsal team successfully participated in 10th European Universities Futsal Championship, which took place in the city of Poznan, Poland on August 2-9.  Our team took the 9th place among 22 university teams. The head of the chair of Physical training, emergency situations Hovhaness Gabrielyan informed that ASUE futsal team had recorded 4 victories and 2 draws. They lost to Croatia, who won the league title.

"Our guys showed good games. This is our second participation at the European University Championship. Last year, our team was ranked 13th. We recorded a better result this year. It should be noted that the University team approaches to a professional level”,- said Hovhaness Gabrielyan.

It is also noteworthy that our delegates were hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Poland and were given a warm reception by Ambassador Edgar Ghazaryan.

Recall that on May our futsal team became a champion of RA Futsal Premier League.

On August 27-28 ASUE futsal team will participate in UEFA- Cup (qualifying rounds).
