Open Doors Day at Economic Alma Mater: Representatives of 10 Armenian schools attended ASEU (photo)

Today the University organized an Open Doors Day within the framework of cooperation program between ASUE and schools. A group of high school pupils from Yerevan and marzes, principals and teachers were hosted in Economic Alma Mater. The meeting between guests and ASUE vice rectors Gagik Vardanyan, Mihrdat Harutyunyan, deans professors and students took place in the great hall.

Note that the program coordinator is the lecturer of Languages chair Lusine Karagulyan, who was the initiator of the event.

In his welcoming speech, ASEU vice rector for Scientific Affairs and External Relations Gagik Vardanyan said that the university education opens great opportunities for young people. The vice rector also talked about the research projects of the university, emphasizing that ASUE stands out among local universities, by including students in research programs.

Afterwards vice rector on education organizational matters Mihrdat Harutyunyan presented the details of university educational process, departments, discounts, scholarships, etc. Vice rector also answered the pupils' questions. The deputy principal of # 42 high school Nora Margaryan asked about the events that make the student-lives more memorable. In answer, the president of Student Council Sergey Kharatyan introduced the various measures initiated by the Council.

The second part of the meeting was in conference hall.  School principals, deputy principals, teachers, ASUE vice rector Mihrdat Harutyunyan, Lusine Karagulyan, professors, representatives of the student council discussed a number of issues related to cooperation.

Accompanied by University staff and students the pupils walked around the university, were in different departments, computer classrooms, got to know the student's daily life.

Narine Hakobyan a pupil of No. 43 high school told us she was planning to continue her studies at ASUE, get a quality education and become a representative of economic sector.  Lusine Karagulyan told us that during this academic year, the university representatives had been hosted by all 10 schools, as well as our University had financially supported the pupils from poor families. The project coordinator ensured that the collaboration is ongoing.

Today, our university hosted the representatives of the following schools: Armavir No.1, Vagharshapat No. 10, and Yerevan No. 42, 119, 139, 105, 54, 170, 36 and Proshyan School.
