Seminar-workshop at ASUE: University Financial Management was at Core
International seminar-workshop on “University Financial Management and Income Diversification Strategies” has joint representatives of a number of Armenian Universities and education experts: today’s measure launched at ASUE is initiated by National “Erasmus +” office in Armenia. The measure was attended by Lana Karlova, Program Coordinator, Vice Rectors of Universities, collaborators of financial and other departments, students. The opening ceremony is attended by Gohar Sargsyan, Head of ASUE HRM Division, Vard Ghukasyan, Head of Foreign Relations Division, students of Department of Finance. Enora Bennetot Pruvot, Deputy Director for Governance, Funding and Public Policy Development, European University Association, Ian Mathews, Chief Financial Officer, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, were among the special guests, who held the workshop, spoke on University financial and human resources management, income diversification, and education quality improvement issues.
Ian Mathews presented the financial management experience of his University, which can be useful for Armenian Universities.
In her welcoming speech, Lana Karlova underlined that University governance issues are always up-to-date, needing continuous discussion, meetings with stakeholders, consultancy of experts. In this context she highlighted the outcomes of Tempus “ATHENA” project.
Representative s of ASUE, YSU, YSLU, PAARA, ANAU, YSITC, NPUA, VSU and other participant Universities noted in their welcoming speeches, that they expect useful information on financial management issues and are glad to share their international experience.
ASUE Foreign Relations Department supported the measure to be organized.
The workshop is going on and the outcomes will be summed up at the end of the working day.
