“ISSUES OF SPHERICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMICS AND FISCAL POLICY OF THE RA IN CASE OF MEMBERSHIP TO CU ”: SEMINAR IN “AMBERD”

Today, a scientific  seminar  on “Impact  of  deepening  regional integration process on national competitiveness  of  the RA”  was held  at “AMBERD”  Research  Center  within the  Framework  of  “Issues  of  spherical development  of  economics  and  fiscal  policy  of  the  RA  in case  of  membership to  CU”.

Research  group  member, Candidate  in Economics, Associate  Professor Grigor  Nazaryan  reported  on “Comparative advantages  of  Armenia’s economy  in the context of regional integration”.

He  spoke  about reasons  of possible  costs  of  investing  total  customs, problem  of methods  for determining customs’ value,  presented  static  and  dynamic  effects of CU on  member  country,  comparative advantages  of  the  RA  and  FR in  foreign trade (table), referred  to Bela Balassa index etc.

Research group member, Doctor in Economics, Associate  Professor Davit  Hakhverdyan presented the functional form of  modified gravity model,  it’s most commonly used indicators, the evolution, restriction of the gravitational model  and  etc.

Director  of  “AMBERD”  Research Center  Samvel  Avetisyan  thanked the speakers and  urged to  take  into  account  the  suggestions and comments made by employees  of  “AMBERD”.
