SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROBLEMS OF BALANCED DEVELOPMENT OF THE RA ARE STUDIED IN “AMBERD”
Today, the research group of “Socio-economic problems of balanced development of the RA” research program was hosted at “AMBERD” Research Center: a scientific seminar entitled “Leveling models of the regional development in the RA and the problems of formation of clusters” was held within the framework of the mentioned program.
The topic was presented by Candidates in Economics, Associate Professors Karen Hakobyan and Narek Kesoyan.
Karen Hakobyan presented some socio-economic variables of the RA regions in 2012, assessment of the related indicators (employment, poverty, unemployment, and other factors of the population), materiality of JR criteria, calculation data of GDP structural changes and structural differences, factor analysis of the RA regions and other data of researches.
Narek Kesoyan spoke about “Regional inequality and decentralization: empirical analysis”, referred to coefficient of variation and adjusted Gini coefficient, presented regional inequality of the RA according to various indicators.
The research facilitator of the mentioned research is Zoya TADEVOSYAN, Professor at the Chair of International Economic Relations, Doctor of Economics.
The speakers and members of research group answered the participants’ questions.
Note, that the results of the research should be presented at the end of the year.
