ASUE 24TH CONFERENCE ON “MODERN CHALLENGES FOR DEVELOPMENT” WAS SUMMARIZED

Today, ASUE 24th Conference  on “Modern Challenges  for  Development”  was  summarized at  the  University  conference  hall.  The session was  headed  by  ASUE  Rector,  Professor  Koryun Atoyan. 

The  session was  attended  by  Vice-rector  of  Science  and  International Relations,  Gagik  Vardanyan, Vice-rector  on Methodological  Matters,  Paruir  Kalantaryan,  Heads  of  the  Chairs,  PhDs.

The  Heads  of  the  sections   reported  on  the   sections’ working  process. The  Head of  Science  Division Khoren Mkhitaryan  reported  instead  of the  coordinator  of  the  section “Socio-economic development priorities in the RA”, full member of National Academy of Sciences, Doctor in  Economics, Professor,  Head of  the  Chair  of  Management, Yuri  Suvaryan,  emphasizing  how  many  reports had  been  presented ,  and  the  overall  working  process  of  the  section.  He  mentioned  that  the  lecturers    of ASUE  Branches  and  PhDs were   particularly  active.

The  coordinator  of the  second  section “Financial markets and infrastructures”, Head  of the  Chair  of  Finance, Doctor  in Economics, Professor, Ashot Salnazaryan,   mentioned that   the 3  days  were hard  working  ones  in their  section,  the  reports  were accompanied by active participation of PhDs  and  lecturers.

The  coordinator  of  the  next  section “International economic cooperation and assurance  of  education  quality”, Director  of  “AMBERD”  Research Center, Doctor  in Economics, Professor,  Samvel  Avetisyan, referring  to  working  process  of  his  section, mentioned that   various reports were  presented, the working  process in this section was  distinguished, that’s there were participants  from  different  universities.

The  coordinator  of the  section “Assurance  of  sustainable development”, Dean of  the  Department  of  Computer Science and Statistics,  Candidate  in Economics, Associate  Professor, Manuk  Movsisyan,  expressed  gratitude  for  conducting   working  process one  of  the   sections   in their  Department,  noting that the fact  pleased  the  Faculty  of  the  Department.  He  characterized the  topics  of  research  presented  in    the  section as quite urgent ones, then added  that  interesting  discussions  were  held.

The  Vice-rector  of  Science  and  International  Relations,  Gagik  Vardanyan,  described the  conference  as  a  well  organized one and  emphasized the large number of presented reports. The  Vice-rector  also referred  to  the  problems  outlined  by the  participants,  which  should be  solved for  conducting  further conferences.

The  Vice-rector  on  Methodological Matters,  Paruir  Kalantaryan,  Head of the Chair  of  Environmental Economics, Doctor, Professor, Suren Gevorgyan,  made  proposals towards  improving the  procedure  of organizing conferences.

Koryun Atoyan  summarized the  session  and expressed  gratitude  the  people  actively participated  in  working  process  of the  conference. The  Head of  the  University  mentioned that there  was a  progress  comparing  with  the  previous ones,  but  everybody  are   desire to see an improved organization of conferences, the  evidence  of  which will be   the suggestions made by the participants. 

The  Rector emphasizes  that today everybody  thinks  about  the importance of efficient research,  which  is  welcomed,  then  he adds  that  the  RA  Government  is  interested  in  research of  “AMBERD”  Research  Center  and  some Departments have already made  suggestions  for  cooperation. The  Rector  mentioned  that ASUE,  as  a  specialized  university  of  economics,  should  have  a professional approach and  form an authoritative opinion  towards any economic event  of  the Republic: thus creating a demand for his professional analysis.  “It  is  very  important  for  us  and  we  should  work on  this”;  mentioned Koryun Atoyan.

P.S. On October 29, 2014, ASUE 24th   Conference on  “Modern Challenges  for  Development”   launched. The three-day-conference  was  conducted  in 4  sections: “Socio-economic development priorities in the RA”, “Financial markets and infrastructures”, “International economic cooperation and assurance  of  education  quality”  and “Assurance  of  sustainable development”.
