HOW TO MATCH LEARNING OUTCOMES WITH THE EMPLOYERS’ DEMANDS
Serial round table-discussion entitled “Compliance Problems of Learning Outcomes to Stakeholders Requirements” was held at ASUE Center for International Programs (Nalbandyan 128, N2 building) today within the framework of “Creating a Platform for Discussion on Inclusive Growth in Armenia” program.
ASUE Rector, Professor Koryun Atoyan, Chief Adviser to RA Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan, the Director of Armenian Office of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in the South Caucasus Zara Allahverdyan, representative of Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus Lukas Lyusher, representatives and experts of a number of foreign and Armenian organizations attended the discussion.
Koryun Atoyan welcomed the participants of the discussion, presented “Creating a Platform for Discussion on Inclusive Growth in Armenia” program, stressing that current project is designed for discussing nowadays problems of education, economic sectors in Armenia. Referring to today's topic the Head of the University outlined that in conditions of current developments and challenges of Armenian economy we should find out a new model of preparing specialists in order to meet the needs of stakeholders. Koryun Atoyan concluded his speech wishing the participants fruitful work.
Director of Armenian Office of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in the South Caucasus Zara Allahverdyan, referring to the essence of the joint program with ASUE, commented; “We see that there is economic growth, but we see that it is not always inclusive, that is, not always include targeted groups”.
Zara Allahverdyan expressed hope that the results of the organized and conducted discussions on different topics should eventually become a solid basis for policy development.
Program Manager Nerses Gevorgyan mentioned in his speech that two round table-discussions devoted to “Regional and Local Development Problems in the RA” and “Stereotype as a Hindering Factor of Inclusive Growth” had been already organized. Nerses Gevorgyan expressed hope that the further discussion would also be effective.
Representative of Armenian Children Fund Serob Khachatryan, expert of vocational education sector Samvel Pipoyan and member of program management group Nvard Manasyan presented reports.
In a joint report the experts raised the current problems of the sector and weak points, conclusions and recommendations were made.
