ASUE REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDED A WORKSHOP IN UN ARMENIAN OFFICE

On April 23,  on World Book and Copyright Day, a workshop was conducted at United Nations Department of Public Information  Office  in Armenia, which  was  attended by Armine  Hovhannisyan, Director  of  ASUE Library, Vard Ghukasyan, Head of Foreign Relations and Ruzanna Andreasyan, collaborator  of  reading  hall.

UN DPI Officer-in-Charge Armine Halajyan mentioned  in the  opening  speech that  the workshop aimed to get  acquainted with  the  libraries,  where the UN corners  and depository libraries  were operated.  UN corners were  shown by  slide show  during the meeting. Then Armine Halajyan presented the UN  website, virtual library, free use of the resource bases. Interactive communication was  held, practical suggestions were  made. Newly  published books were  awarded to workshop  participants. The workshop  was  over by visit to UN  depository library in  National Library.

P.S. Cooperation agreement  was  signed by Armenian State University of Economics  and United Nations Department of Public Information  Office  in Armenia on April 4, 2013.  UN  corner has been opened at  the  University  reading hall,  which is regularly  updated  by  information  literature. Armine  Hovhannisyan, Director  of ASUE  Library,  submitted the information.
