ASUE CHESS TEAM PARTICIPATED IN “VAHANYAN CUP” INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT-OLYMPIAD

“Vahanyan Cup” International  Chess  Open First inter-university team tournament was  conducted on March 12-16 by proposal of National University  of Architecture  and Construction of  Armenia  within the   framework  of  “Days  of Rostov Engineering University  in Armenia” project. 10 teams: 7 ones  from Armenia, 2 teams from Rostov and 1 team  from Donetsk,  participated  in the  tournament.

Our  University  team also  participated  and in the interview  with ASUE  Media and Public  Relations  Division a  lecturer  in the  Chair  of Physical Training, First Aid and Civil Defense, Chess Coach  Lyudmila Hovhannisyan said  that our  team  took the 5th place among 10 teams (with 9 points).

The Organizers  aimed  to establish effective  cooperation and  friendly relations between the  Universities of  the  participating  countries   and  to  support popularization of  chess  in the  Universities.
