Peculiarities of Biological and Chemical Weapons were Discussed during the Seminar

Today, the 2nd  seminar  of  the  Chair  of  Physical Training, Emergency Situations and Civil Defense  was  held attended  by representatives  of  the  Chair, students.

Neda Petrosyan, lecturer  and Siranush Harutyunyan, Associate Professor, PhD in Chemistry, reported  respectively on “Biological Weapon”  and  “Chemical Weapon”.  Reference  to application precedents, effects, penetration into the human body, and the ways of infection of the  mentioned weapons was  done. Neda  Petrosyan described the types of biological weapons separately - bird flu, swine flu, "Ebola", "Zika" and others, mentioned ways of spreading them.  As the lecturer underlined, research has shown that these viruses are anthrax and are spread artificially. It was noteworthy that her explanation was also about the peculiarities of genetic weapons.

Siranush Harutyunyan spoke in detail about six historical cases of the use of weapons of mass destruction in war situations. The chemical weapon is deadly, and in some cases it disturbs the human central nervous system.
