ASUE Boys Volleyball Team - Silver Medalist of the 18th Republican Games
On May 1, final of boys volleyball cup of the 18th Republican Student Sport Games was held at ASUE gym. Teams of ASUE and National Polytechnic University of Armenia were fighting for the Champion title. The game was over with 3:2 score, ASUE team won the silver medal. Tigran Ayvazyan, the 5th year student of part-time finance specialty, was recognized as the best player of the cup and was awarded a special prize.
Hovhannes Gabrielyan, Head of the Chair of Physical Training, Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, told ASUE Media and Public Relations Division that the team won silver medal for the second year.
“Volleyball is one of the beloved sports at our University, and we have achievements in interuniversity cups during recent year, we should seek to more. Note, that futsal cup will start today, we have great expectations”.
Gagik Vardanyan, trainer of boys team, mentioned that the boys had demonstrated wonderful game during the whole cup.
P.S. Boys volleyball cup has started on April 25, which was attended by teams of 8 Universities. Student sports games are organized by the RA MES, Armenian Student Sports Federation and Youth Foundation of Armenia.
