ASUE Rector Koryun Atoyan Met The Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic Peter Plavchan

On November 17, ASUE Rector, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Koryun Atoyan met the Minister of Education, Science, Research  and Sport of the Slovak Republic Peter Plavchan.  The meeting was attended by Director of Communications of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research  and Sport of the Slovak Republic Vahram Chuguryan, Head of Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of Slovakia in Moscow Igor Derko, Head of ASUE Educational Division Aghavni Hakobyan.

During the meeting a number of cooperation prospects with higher education institutes in Slovakia, especially University of Economics in Bratislava, including training and exchange courses of professors,  joint education programs, scientific-research activities, students exchange programs were discussed.

The Minister of Education, Science, Research  and Sport of the Slovak Republic Peter Plavchan highlighted effective  cooperation between the higher education institutes of the two countries, expressed willingness to support the deepening of relations in order to create new opportunities for interaction.

ASUE Rector, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Koryun Atoyan  mentioned  that ASUE  and delegation  of  University of Economics in Bratislava  had  signed an interaction agreement in 2012,  and a  student of the  mentioned  University  had study one semester at ASUE  in 2014, but there is a need for more effective use of the potential of cooperation between the two Universities and to strengthen cooperation. ASUE Rector presented  the recent years’ University achievements, internationalization policy priorities, including the mobility results of  students  and professors in the frames of “Erasmus+” program.  

The sides expressed hope that in the future it will be possible to activate bilateral contacts and  to provide new achievements for interuniversity cooperation.
