Ruben Hayrapetyan: the Lecturers' Competition will be Held Free of Conflicts and will Have Great Outcomes

“The competition announced for vacant courses at Armenian State University of Economics will be held absolutely free of conflicts, no one has the right to impose one's opinion, and the Committee is competent to make decisions based on the set criteria. So, I urge the committee members to be careful and to work so that our goal is justified and the university is supplemented by high-quality lecturers. I am sure, we’ll have great outcomes”; Ruben Hayrapetyan stated at today’s session of ASUE Scientific Board touching upon the competition announced for vacant courses.

The process has started on June 24, the timetable, as well as the composition of the committees are established. Ahead the competition, Ruben Hayrapetyan met the Rectorate Board members, the collaborators involved in the committees, the Deans of Faculties and Heads of Chairs, listened to the proposals and presented the approaches of the University Leadership regarding the current inquiries on the competition.

ASUE Head underscored that the competition aimed at replenishing the University with high-quality teaching staff, which is one of the main guarantees for further development of our University. “We have introduced two new Master's degree programs in management since this academic year, and more than 80 applications have been submitted. The attractiveness of the University, as an educational service provider, should be enhanced only by high-quality educational programs”; Ruben Hayrapetyan stated.

Touching upon the statement made by ASUE several lecturers in the press that 70% of university professors will be unemployed as a result of the competition, the Acting Rector of ASUE noted; “It's just nonsense, and the comments to such statements in social networks are for our approach and confirm that the University must develop its capacity and improve the quality of education. Our steps are supported by the huge masses of our stakeholders - students, alumni, employers, private and public sector partners. Talk to them and you will be convinced".
