Awareness Seminar on World Civil Defense Day

Today, World Civil Defense Day is marked. Siranush Harutyunyan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Physical Training, Emergency Situations initiated an informative seminar entitled "Weapons of Mass Destruction" at ASUE. The guest speaker was the senior instructor of the department of man-made accidents of the Department of Disaster Risk Reduction Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Major of the Rescue Service Tigran Gevorgyan. Lecturers of the mentioned Chair, the 1st year students of the Faculty of Finance, led by Lecturer Venera Voskanyan, the 1st year students of the Faculty of Management, led by Lecturer Ani Terteryan, attended the seminar.

Siranush Harutyunyan made a speech, emphasizing the significance of the World Civil Defense Day. She made a historical hint. Brief information about biological and chemical weapons were presented to the students.

Tigran Gevorgyan touched upon the main topic of the seminar - weapons of mass destruction, presenting a professional analysis on their nature, application and effects. He answered the questions of the audience.
