ASUE Library was Awarded With a Diploma from Ministery of ESCS

The ceremony of presenting certificates of honor of the Ministry of Education, Science, Sport and Culture of the Republic of Armenia to libraries and cultural institutions of the Republic of Armenia was held yesterday at the National Library of Armenia. The diplomas were presented by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Narine Khachatryan on the occasion of the Librarian Day (celebrated on October 7) for the effective work done online in a state of emergency.

ASUE library is the only University library that received an honorary diploma, which was presented to the director of the library Armine Hovhannisyan.

According to the Deputy Minister, the presentation of the diplomas was scheduled for October 7, but due to the pandemic and war, the event was postponed. As noted by Armine Hovhannisyan, the awarded certificate inspires and obliges at the same time.

“During the pandemic, libraries, including ASUE library, switched to online services. In the Internet environment, the work was also huge and responsible. In the past year, we worked with several electronic libraries, which provided us with free access for a period of 2 months. We did our best to make our book fund available to students and staff of ASUE during the state of emergency”; noted the library Director.
