Future International Experts Visited the World Bank Armenia Office

On April 29, the 1st year Master’s degree students of international monetary and financial relations visited the World Bank Armenian Office initiated and accompanied by Albert Hayrapetyan, Assistant Professor of the Chair of International Economic Relations, PhD in Economics, within the frames of “International Organizations” course. The students got acquainted with the organization’s activity, Vigen Sargsyan, Head of Foreign Relations and Corporate Management of the World Bank Armenia Office introduced the World Bank structure, specifically touched upon the projects implemented in Armenia, development and poverty reduction projects. The students watched a film representing the activities of the organization, a part of which referred to the overall economic situation in Armenia.

While interviewing and summing up the visit outcomes, Albert Hayrapetyan stated that the main goal of the event to convey practical knowledge of a particular topic within the framework of the training course can be considered realized, as the meeting was full of useful information, discussions, answers and questions. The possibility of passing an internship for students at the WB Armenia Office was also discussed. The lecturer noted that Yulia Ustugova, Head of the International Monetary Fund Office in Armenia, will be hosted at ASUE soon and thus, practical lectures of this academic year will be summed up.
