A Meeting with Rector Koryun Atoyan: the guests were from ASEU Yeghegnadzor Branch

ASEU Rector, Professor Koryun Atoyan today hosted a group of students from ASUE Yeghegnadzor branch, visiting professor Brian Saliba and the director of the Branch Sos Khachikyan. ASEU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and External Relations Gagik Vardanyan, Head of the Chair of Language Susanna Chalabyan and the Chair of the Student Council Sergey Kharatyan were also present at the meeting.

"I am glad for this meeting in Alma Mater. This is the first meeting in this format, when we are hosting students and professors from Yeghegnadzor branch", - said ASEU Rector, Professor Koryun Atoyan, inquiring the purpose of the visit of the English professor and the opportunities of cooperation. Brian Saliban thanked the rector for the reception, and then
said that he had come on a business for 2 years, and was more interested in the possibility of carrying out scientific research in branches. He hoped that bilateral cooperation would be effective. Rector Koryun Atoyan offered to explain the possibilities of assistance, submit a proposal and expressed readiness to support any initiative.

The director of the Yeghegnadzor Branch Sos Khachikyan said that Brian Saliban was in Armenia within the framework of the US interstate program. “At this moment formation of a research group is being discussed: it is planned to carry out a study on tourism-education and regional development”.

Rector Koryun Atoyan also addressed to the students asking about their problems. First, the students thanked the rector for the support and offered to organize visits of professors of alma mater to the branch for open classes. They also talked about the problem of the availability of the electronic library. The head of the university promised to solve the problems of the students.

 Note that today Brian Saliba will deliver a lecture to the newly established club for English speakers at 14:00pm. The initiative belongs to the Head of the Chair of Language Susanna Chalabyan.
