Meeting with Samvel Martirosyan, Information Security Expert
Today, Lilit Dadayan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Marketing, PhD in Economics, initiated a meeting with Samvel Martirosyan, information security expert and media expert, for the 1st and 2nd year Master’s degree students of Marketing Research and Communications specialization, who spoke about the future of marketing in social media. The meeting was attended by the professors of the mentioned Chair headed by Ararat Zakaryan, the Chair, Doctor of Sciences, Professor, employees.
The expert, whose visit was apparently expected and enjoyable for the atendees, referred to the Internet's current role, underlining that if before by saying internet we understood computer, today the Internet is the phones, various smartphones, which “have made people to become regular Internet users”. He mentioned, today's developments of the Internet are fast and speculative, and the changes are so fast that technical solutions start to linger.
“For example, today the IP addresses of the World have come to an end”; said Samvel Martirosyan. As for the content of social media the expert noted that the trends are as follows: first a huge number of photos were produced, and now the main content is video, "the movement is a transition from a written word to a video".
Samvel Martirosyan spoke about the impact of demographic changes on internet, the expansion of the Internet, the features of social spheres. The presence of senior age people in Facebook is big and in Instagram the users’ age is less than 35. Nevertheless the specialist thinks that in the Armenian dimension of social media Facebook prevails then Instagram and as a new tendency Youtube.
