The Start of Open Lectures: Speakers are Experienced Professionals of the Banking System

The trainings take on a normal course, and ASUE professors are trying to present the courses as imaginable and accessible as possible. In this context, interactive open lectures as an effective way to transfer practical knowledge are always highlighted.

Today, two open lectures are initiated by Vahan Babayan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Managerial Accounting and Auditing, PhD in Economics.  He  has  invited experienced professionals of the  banking system. Artur Chorukhyan,    advisor to the Board Chairman of “Artsakh Bank” CJSC, spoke  on peculiarities  of the RA banking system, the essence  of banking supervision, the  role  of  auditing in the bank  management  process.

Vaghinak Stepanyan, Head of Banking Supervision Division of Financial Supervision Department, the  RA CBA, conducted introductory training on “Auditing of Financial Infrastructure” course. The  speaker drew  attention on the  essence of financial infrastructures (banks, credit organizations, insurance, investment companies, etc.), their  risks. The  open  lecture  was  attended  by Mary Badalyan, acting Head of  Department of Accounting  and Auditing, PhD in Economics,  Associate Professor, Liana Grigoryan, the Chair of Managerial Accounting and Auditing, who  welcomed Vahan Babayan’s initiative and thanked the  guests  for the  cooperation.

Vahan Babayan stated  that he has reached an agreement with today's speakers, according to which a check discussion will be held at the end of this semester to summarize the relevant courses.

Liana  Grigoryan added  that their professional courses are of emphasized applied nature, so it is very important to compare the theoretical part with the  practical one and the  invited speakers contribute to this process.
